The Lingerie Guide How The High-Cut Stole Our Hearts December 15, 2015 There was a forgettable period of recent style that dropped waistlines to perilously low depths. Thongs and teeny strips of fabric were developed to make sure that while a butt crack may show, panty lines stayed hidden. If you were anything like me, even the vintage appeal of a high-waist was lost on those of a certain age, and any underwear that crept over the hips was deemed a “granny panty.” For whatever reason, the muffin top effect that these low briefs contributed to was more appealing than a higher cut. Thank god we all came to our senses. Now, I’m not saying that skimpy underthings certainly don’t have their place, but a high-cut bottom can be the most comfortable option for all different body types. I find that in a tighter dress that I don’t want to wear a slimming garment under, a higher cut brief tends to hold in those love handles a bit more, kind of creating a reverse muffin top effect. There is basically no body type that won’t be enhanced by a waist-defining and hip-minimizing cut. Going even further, some lines of slimming garments like Spanx and D’Mondaine have created their own high-waist panties, which is a great way to streamline curves under a pair of pants or in a tight garment. Not to mention, these days vintage styles are all the rage, and there is nothing that better suits a high-waist pant then a high-cut brief. Many brands established and new are coming up with creative ways to raise underwear waistlines, making sure there is a piece available within everyone’s budget and style. While typical granny panties were boring giant pieces of cloth, the modern high-cut brief comes in a range of styles that are perfect for any situation.
The Lingerie Guide The Last Minute Run Around | Wedding Night Lingerie December 22, 2015 Every bride has her perfect dress in mind, but with all of the other minute details that go into planning a wedding, sometimes wedding night lingerie gets forgotten. I got to experience this last year, when my friend called me in New York from her wedding venue in California absolutely freaking out because she forgot to buy lingerie. Now, I love pretty things and especially love buying them, but lingerie can be incredibly personal, especially when all I can think about is my best friends, well, using it. But of course I agreed, and then started to freak out. Luckily, the whole experience gave me some great insight on what to consider when buying wedding night goodies. BHLDN STARLET ROBE – $280 First of all, I had to think about my friend, and what her style is. Knowing that she liked simple styles but interesting cuts (and worked in fashion) helped me focus away from the complicated wedding night ensembles that are available. Instead, I opted for a simple sheer white chemise to give her something special, and focused on white bra and panty sets to spice up the look. Of course, that was the hard part! I know what I like in a bra, and luckily we are around the same size, so I tried on about 10 different options in a range of styles, including a few I wasn’t sure about. Of course, once I put them on, the ones I was least sure about ended up looking gorgeous, and it was easy to know which was the right one for my friend.

I really like the idea of this dress. I have curves 34DD/36D-29waist-38hip i ordered a large & it fits good but if somone is a bigger than me it it wouldnt fit them. It is a tad snug in the bust area but not uncomfortable i can still move around & move my arms. I will warn you the dress is short so i plan to wear some yoga shorts underneath of it so that i dont give anyone a free preview of my vickies secrets :) Of course you guys know that the top is sheer/lace so i plan to wear a very full coverage black bra (grandma bra) so that i dont have any nip-slips . I would recommend that you do the same depending on which color dress you ordered. I absoloutely love this dress i bought it for my boyfriends bday celebration to wear to a concert lets hope its as functional on as it is cute& sexy :) either way i love it & i would definitely recommend this dress :) The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars is because i havent tested out the functionality of it yet (u know like moving around /dancing /sitting)

I own several babydoll pieces of lingerie and many are from the brand Jezebel. Most lingerie I buy from Jezebel is not a let down and this piece is no exception. I own it in both black and red in a size small. I’m 5'4 with a small frame and 32D bust. This babydoll fits me perfectly, covers my bum and hits at the top of my thighs. The bra portion is comfortable enough to sleep in and does not dig into you while still giving you a nice lift (though it does not have any push up padding or anything). The back of the babydoll is fly away and very attractive. The panties do run a bit small but I do have a fuller bottom. The details of the babydoll; the pattern/texture are much prettier in person. This dress caught my eye so I decided to take a chance and buy it. I wasn’t sure what size to buy because you never know with online shopping so I just bought the same size as the model and it fits perfectly! I’m impressed with the quality of the dress and it looks great. This dress is very versatile so you can definitely get a lot of use out of it. I wish it came in other colors. I will say there is hardly any stretch so this dress can be unforgiving in that regard. I really love the floral pattern on this blouse. However, the top is a bit short. I’m 5 ft 6 in and I ordered the extra small. The top fits fine, but is very short on the sides, so much so that about 1-2 inches of skin shows between the bottom of the shirt and top of my pants, even when not wearing low-riding pants. This is a great summer skirt. It’s lightweight, as photographed, soft, and has a great pattern with nice colors. I’m 5'6" and typically a 10 on the bottom. The large fits nicely, maybe a tiny bit too big, but a medium would be too small, I’m sure. This is such a beautiful set, I’m usually a medium and I ordered it in a medium, and it fit like a glove. So perfect. I love adjustable straps, so it can be adjusted to your liking. This chemise is adorable, incredibly soft and comfortable! I am a person that really needs racerback for lingerie, otherwise the straps just fall right off my shoulders. So when I saw this online, I thought I’d give it a try. I couldn’t be happier, It stays on and the straps are secure. I’m right on the cusp of size 6 and 8 for pants so I went with a medium with this and it fits great. The last thing you want when you are pregnant is to be uncomfortable and then have to wear uncomfortable things on top of it. These are not the most attractive pj’s I have ever purchased, but they are extremely comfortable. Any prego woman will tell you that comfort is everything during pregnancy, especially at night when you are trying to sleep! The fabric is so soft, even after many washes. TheMorgan Women’s Sheer Mesh Long Sleeve Bolero is exactly what I was looking for. It shipped to me very, very quickly which I appreciated. Long Sleeve T-Shirt Tops + High Waist Pencil Skirt. This outfit arrives looking exactly as pictured, it is gorgeous!! I love everything about it. It is a 3 piece set, the skirt, shirt and belt are all separate pieces. The belt that ties around the waist is very long, so you can tie a large floppy bow, or wrap it around twice and have a tighter , more proper bow. The length of the belt tie is 95", so you can really get creative with it. The shirt and skirt are both very form fitting, and the skirt is even designed with the natural curves of the body, so it comes in at the waist, and out at the hips. If worn as pictured, the skirt can be worn as a mini skirt, with the belt tie wrapped at the waistline, and the outfit even almost resembles a dress. However, if you are more of the conservative type, the skirt can be pulled down as well, and worn just above the hips for a much longer look.
